Nýhil's 3rd International Poetry Festival

To be held this weekend in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik, it is organized by Vidar Thorsteinsson and Eiríkur Örn Norðdahl, who is also a featured poet. Poetry readings will be interspersed with music performances, and the festival is also noted for two parties, each lasting 6 to 7 hours.

I'm lucky enough to be invited to this year's parties, uh, festival, along with these international poets: Lars Skinnebach (Denmark), Leif Holmstrand (Sweden), Markku Paasonen (Finland), Vilja-Tuulia Huotarinen (Finland), Sean Bonney (UK) and Angela Rawlings (Canada). Icelandic participants include Una Björk Sigurðardóttir, Jón Örn Loðmfjörð, Hildur Lilliendahl, Gísli Hvanndal, Kristín Ómarsdóttir, Ingólfur Gíslason, Kristín Svava Tómasdóttir, Ásmundur Ásmundsson, Björk Þorgrímsdóttir, Kristín Eiríksdóttir, Arngrímur Vídalín, Jóhamar and Örvar Smárason.
